I am feeling brave, so I have decided to post some pictures of our progress. The only real difference I see in my pictures is that my belly doesn't pooch out as much! And my favorite pug Bear is missing in the 30 day pic! Stan has lost a lot more weight than me, and you can see it mostly in his belly too!

Updates

So....it has been a while. I have been so busy lately I haven't even thought about posting a blog. The school semester is coming to an end (only one month away today!) and I have a lot of assignments to finish and submit.

I also have my sister Melissa's baby shower to plan, which is less than three weeks away. There is so much that goes into planning a baby shower-I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I actually have never hosted a party, so I am sort of nervous about it going smoothly. I am just a tiny bit stressed about it.

So, not only am I finishing up school and planning a baby shower, I am planning a cruise! We decided a few weeks ago to that we definitely wanted to take another cruise this year. It really is a treat for us, considering I don't have a job. We are cruising on Carnival Valor on May 10th for 7 nights! We are really excited about it! There is a lot of planning that goes into it though, like deciding which shore excursions to take-or not take. I also need to find a dress for one of the formal nights. Even though I love to shop, finding a dress that fits right really is a chore for me. I hope I find one soon.

An update on the P90X-I have lost around 9 pounds! Yay! We haven't been able to stick to the program as strictly as planned, but have done a decent job of it. Food is probably the hardest part of it all, but it is getting easier. I am not craving all the bad foods that I did in the past and haven't been as hungry. It has definitely been a change for us. I have also been using Turbo Jam to get some extra cardio in several times a week. Both P90X and Turbo Jam are good programs, but I get bored easily. I just need to keep reminding myself of how I feel after my workouts to keep myself motivated.

One last thing-my job search. I haven't had any luck yet. And YES, I am trying. There just aren't that many jobs around here. I have been looking in a nearby town that we are considering moving to, so hopefully I can secure a job there and we can put our house up for sale! The sooner the better, even though I have enough going on right now!

P90X

Stan and I started a new exercise program called P90X on Monday. We knew it was going to be hard, and it is! So far, most of my body hurts. I'm sure the rest of it will be in pain tomorrow. Yay! Just what I want! We went to another Predators game last night, which was fun (they won again), but that meant that we had to exercise at midnight! I don't recommend that. Aside from being tired, I had to exercise with an upset stomach :( That didn't feel good, but I did it anyway. Hopefully all this pain and dieting will pay off in the end and we will become more fit and healthy!

Omer

I just learned earlier today that a man that I knew named Omer Powell died yesterday. He is not family, and I only met him once, but I felt like he deserved a special blog! You see, he just turned 100 years old this past Christmas Eve! My friend's father (who was related to him in some way) lived across the (gravel) road from him and took care of him. I am sure he will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him. I considered interviewing him for a history project, but never got around to it. What a missed opportunity :( You will be missed Omer! See you one day in Heaven!

A picture I took of him on 8-8-08.

V-Day

For Valentines Day Stan and I went to see a Predators game in Nashville. It was my first hockey game, and I loved it! We are even going to see another game on the 24th. Here are some pics from that day!
